ICRE8 was at the SIMRA Case Study Team Workshop Bolzano, Italy

Dr Achilleas Vassilopoulos and Dr Ebun Akinsete represented ICRE8 in Bolzano, Italy, at a training workshop for SIMRA project Case Study teams.  The workshop, which was held from January 10th–11th 2018, was hosted by EURAC Research Center at their Bolzano premises.  The EU funded SIMRA project aims to fill the significant knowledge gap in understanding and enhancing social innovation in marginalised rural areas by advancing the state-of-the-art in social innovation and connected governance mechanisms in agriculture and forestry sectors and in rural development in general.    As part of the project, SIMRA will analyse a number of case studies across Europe and the wider Mediterranean region. The ICRE8 team will be working on the Greek case study, “A Box of Sea” ('Ένα κουτί θάλασσα), in collaboration with Greenpeace Hellas.
