DAFNE Stakeholder Workshop Lusaka, 2-5 February, 2017

ICRE8 researchers Dr. Ebun Akinsete and Josef Adler participated in the DAFNE H2020 project Stakeholder Workshop in Zambia. On the 2nd and the 3rd of February DAFNE partners and stakeholders from several of the countries lying in the Zambezi gathered in Lusaka to discuss issues surrounding the Zambezi river basin. Stakeholders from business, politics, NGOs, and local grass-root communities attended the workshop.

After the two-day workshop, DAFNE’s local partner, the University of Zambia, had organized a field trip to the case study areas. These included trips to Livingstone, the Kafue Gorge and the Victoria Falls hydropower plants, a tour of a sugarcane farm, and a visit to the Victoria Falls and the adjacent national park.
